Nokia to develop ways of charging for phones from external radio waves

It has long since the minds of engineers developing a wireless charging of mobile devices. There are already charging for Palm Pre - Touchstone and various other solutions to the magnetic induction: Powermat, eCoupled from Fulton Innovation, or even a palm to the proposed April 1:) StandWave - a revolutionary new wireless charging. But all the work samples are attached to some device that generates electromagnetic waves, and in the direction of research conducted in the possible next move in the space of a generator and transformer of electromagnetic waves.

Engineers from Nokia Research Center in Cambridge (United Kingdom) digging much deeper, and his new charge for mobile devices to generate energy using electromagnetic waves from outer space: from the towers of mobile communications, Wi - Fi, television towers, radio stations and others (the principle of work based on the technology of RFID (radio-frequency identification) technology).

At present working prototype has a power of 5 mill watts, and for charging the device must be a minimum of 50 mill watts. To increase the efficiency of the device Nokia plans to use in parallel with other methods of charging energy, for example, the use of solar energy. But not all that easy, because, according to researchers, to obtain a full-device must wait for 3-4 years. Probably waiting for the maximum power consumption of devices falls.
